4U1UN QSL Policy
4U1UN confirms QSOs through Club Log OQRS (direct and bureau), direct cards, Logbook of the World (LoTW), and the bureau.
Preferred method: Club Log OQRS, direct or bureau.
Club Log search and upload dates
Log searches are available for 4U1UN, 4U70UN, and 4U75UN.

Log checks cannot be performed for QSOs made after the date and time listed in Club Log.
- Logs are uploaded as soon as the 4U1UN QSL Manager receives them from New York.
- QSOs made after the date and time listed in Club Log OQRS have not yet been uploaded to LoTW.
- The QSL Manager’s logs reflect the same status as Club Log and LoTW.
- QSOs are uploaded to Club Log and LoTW at the same time.
Direct QSL requests
Direct requests received by the QSL Manager receive direct replies when the following requirements are met.
Card size: 3½ × 5½ inches (90 × 140 mm). Up to eight QSOs can be confirmed on a single card.
- Ensure QSO details are clear and correct. Dates and times must be in UTC.
- Enclose a good-quality, self-addressed envelope (SAE) large and strong enough for the return cards. Do not use airmail envelopes or send labels alone. If postage is sufficient, the QSL Manager will apply an A-Priority stamp.
- Enclose US dollars or sufficient valid, properly stamped International Reply Coupons (IRCs) for postage. Loose Swiss postage stamps are also accepted. Stamps and currencies from other countries cannot be used.
- Do not send other currencies or cheques. Requests without an SAE, with an undersized envelope, or with insufficient postage will be answered through the bureau.
Direct return postage
| Number of cards | Within Europe | Outside Europe |
|---|---|---|
| 1–3 cards | $3 or 1 IRC stamped in Europe | $3 or 1 IRC stamped outside Europe |
| 4 or more cards | $4 or 2 IRCs stamped in Europe | $5 or 2 IRCs stamped outside Europe |
The original policy also states “Europe: 3 greenstamps; Overseas: 3 greenstamps” under direct postage from Switzerland. Both statements are retained here pending confirmation of current postage requirements.
